Canada: IID Thrown at Business

On 13 February 2023, at approximately 0100 hours local time, Montreal Police (SPVM) responded after an improvised incendiary device (IID), described as a Molotov cocktail, was thrown through a front window of a business in the Saint-Laurent borough, starting a fire. Local firefighters extinguished the blaze and investigators found remnants of the IID inside. The business sustained minor damage. No further device details have been released and no injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
