Canada: IID Thrown at Business

On 2 February 2023, at approximately 0220 hours local time, Montreal police (SPVM) responded to a business on rue Benjamin-Hudon in Saint-Laurent after an improvised incendiary device (IID), described as a Molotov cocktail, was thrown through the window, starting a fire. Police were able to find remnants of an IID and a can of gasoline inside the business. No injuries were reported, and the building sustained damages caused mainly by the sprinklers. SPVM arson squad responded to assist with the ongoing investigation.
