On 26 February 2023, local police responded after a radio-controlled IED (RCIED) concealed on a motorcycle was functioned remotely near a crowded area in Rakhni Bazaar in Barkhan, killing five people and injuring 16 others. Malaysia: Explosives Used in ATM Attack

On 23 February 2023, at approximately 0648 hours local time, three unknown suspects used explosives to attack two bank ATMs in Setia Alam and fled the scene with an estimated 349,000 Malaysian ringgit [~$78,683]. According to authorities, the explosion was caused by gas pressure. No further details on the explosives have been released. The ATMs were destroyed, but no injuries were reported. Pennsylvania: IEDs Discovered in Residence, 2 Arrested

The WPD Bomb Squad responded to assist and examined the can – described as a coffee can holding small cylinders with fuses that contained an explosive substance – using a remote-control robot, before safely detonating it onsite. Texas: Explosive Device Discovered at Yard Sale

On 21 February 2023, at approximately 0800 hours local time, a resident on U.S. Highway 190 flagged down a Kempner Police Department officer regarding an item he purchased at a yard sale, which turned out to be an explosive device. No further device details were provided. Kempner Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office, and Fort Hood Explosive Ordnance Disposal Teams responded to assist. The device was rendered safe and taken into ATF custody for further investigation.
