On 29 April 2023, at approximately 0100 hours local time, the local mobile squad responded to a bank in Viale Po in Cremona after unidentified suspects used explosives to attack the bank’s ATM and fled the scene with an estimated 70,000 euros [~$76,816]. No further details about the explosives have been released. The blast destroyed the ATM and caused moderate damage to the bank, but no injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation.

Illinois: Pyrotechnic Thrown Into Food Truck, 1 Injured

On 25 April 2023, at approximately 2029 hours local time, Chicago Police Department (CPD) officers responded to a food truck located in North Lawndale after an unknown suspect threw a lit pyrotechnic into the vehicle, injuring the 34-year-old man inside. The CPD Bomb Squad responded to assist and determined the device was consistent with a pyrotechnic. The investigation is ongoing.
