Trinidad and Tobago: IID Thrown at Housing Development, 1 Killed, 3 Injured

On 3 April 2024, at approximately 0300 hours local time, one resident was killed and three others severely injured when an improvised incendiary device (IID) functioned at a house in Couva. Local police and firefighters responded to the scene, where the IID, described as a Molotov cocktail, was thrown at the first floor of the house. The blaze was extinguished, and the investigation is ongoing.
