On 9 May 2023, at approximately 0030 hours local time, York Regional Police officers responded to a property management company on Millway Avenue after reports of a break-in. When officers arrived, they discovered an improvised incendiary device (IID), described as a Molotov cocktail, in the reception area. The front glass window of the property was shattered.
