On 14 March 2024, Bridgeport Police Department (BPD) officers responded to a home in Bridgeport for a reported domestic disturbance involving a man threatening another individual with a machete. At the scene, officers arrested a 57-year-old man for domestic assault. BPD officers searched the suspect’s home after he reported that he possessed firearms he was forbidden from possessing due to a prior conviction of domestic assault. The officers discovered five incendiary devices, six firearms, over 500 rounds of ammunition, and marijuana in the home.

On 9 March 2024, at approximately 1715 hours local time, an individual walking their dog contacted Lake Forest Park Police Department officers near the 20100 block of 30 Ave NE in Shoreline. The individual informed the officers that they had discovered an IED in front of a residential driveway. The device was described as a tightly wrapped object the size of a toilet paper roll with an attached fuse. King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) deputies and KCSO Bomb Squad technicians responded to assist and removed the device. No further device details were released.

On 19 March 2024, at approximately 1515 hours local time, personnel from the Pilger, Wisner, Beemer, and Stanton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments responded to the Pilger Recreation Area in Stanton County for a report of a fire. Stanton County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies were near the scene at the time and reported that a couple had functioned a pyrotechnic device that started a small fire. The couple attempted to extinguish the flames but were unsuccessful, and the fire eventually spread to a quarter-mile to half-mile-wide blaze.

On the evening of 14 March 2024, Parker Police Department (PPD) officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle near a grocery store. The investigation led to an arrest and a report of a suspicious device near the same grocery store. The PPD called in the Douglas County Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit for assistance. Bomb technicians examined the suspicious device, shown in an x-ray and picture as a tube wrapped in tape with internal fragmentation and possessing a green fuse, and confirmed that it was a viable IED. The device was removed from the scene and rendered safe.

On 11 March 2024, at approximately 0445 hours local time, unknown suspects from an “informal action group” ignited several improvised incendiary devices (IIDs) at four power lines in Vecqueville, Haute Marne. The IIDs short circuited three of the four targeted power lines, leaving a smell of gasoline. The group took responsibility for the attack, stating that their intention was to stop production at the geological disposal facility for radioactive waste. No further device details were provided. The investigation is ongoing.
